How to Design a Certificate Template using Microsoft Word

Design your own certificate template using Microsoft word . Make your own free award, birth, marriage, PLIDA, completion, or gift certificate online using a Microsoft Word template.

Instructions

Step 1

First open up a blank page in Microsoft Word to make your certificate template and choose your margin settings.

Step 2

Next go to the Microsoft Word zoom function and set it to "whole page" to expand your template to accommodate the size of your certificate. Set your text function to the "center" placement.

Step 3

Next go into your Microsoft Word art settings to choose the shape (rounded or curved is ideal) of your text to make your header for your certificate template.

Step 4

Right-click on your the Microsoft Word art function and choose format to change the color of your certificate header text.

Step 5

Use the Microsoft Word tables function and make a table with 3 columns and 2 rows in the center of your page under your header.

Step 6

Remove the borders from the Microsoft table function and then set the left and right word columns with only a bottom border to use to print names and signatures on your certificate template.

Step 7

To put titles below the name and signature lines on your Microsoft Word certificate template just hit tab once and type your titles.

Step 8

You can use the simple Microsoft Word page borders for your certificate or design a fancy border for your template using clip art.
